This is a study of the relationship that the Lenni Lenape Native peoples have with agricultural styles of monoculture and specifically the polycultural Three Sisters. For far too long, their voices have been unacknowledged in academic conversations around agriculture and food security. This research addresses silences to connect with Lenni Lenape voices and histories about agricultural practices, with attention to mythology, practices, actions, and stories of the Three Sisters to suggest a Lenape-influenced agricultural practice of monoculture and the impact of Three Sisters agriculture in public garden spaces.
