This qualitative study explores undergraduate students' ecological virtual learning spaces throughout online learning experiences at Ohio University. The study uses the ecological lens to analyze which experiences undergraduate students have in online learning environments. The participants took a Qualtrics survey that incorporated a WEBLEI instrument and some open-ended exploratory questions for each scale and instructional technology questions. Additionally, individual interviews took place to explore further participants' experiences and satisfaction in online learning environments. Students expressed overall satisfaction with the selection of online platforms for online learning purposes. Moreover, they reported some areas that can improve the ecology of the virtual online spaces for them, specifically, students prefer more social opportunities for interactions in synchronous sessions and outside the sessions, coherent structure of the course, and constant updates regarding the course flow. Further research is needed to identify the outcomes of the construction of such ecological learning spaces for online environments.
