Deaf leadership/followership is the style of leadership/followership demonstrated by culturally deaf (Deaf) individuals when in these roles. Fifteen participants were interviewed and surveyed in this mixed-methods study to explore attributes of Deaf leaders and followers. Sensitivity/respect was found as an attribute of Deaf leadership and dependability/reliability as a Deaf followership attribute. Attributes displayed by deaf individuals were also displayed by hearing individuals, which suggested that there is not a relationship between the ability to hear and the ability to lead.
