Picture books are one way to enjoy and pass time in a productive and useful way for young children. As these books are important in shaping the personality of the child, developing intelligence and honing skills toward the future, all children must have equal and non-discriminatory access to these picture books. This research simply aims to give blind children the opportunity to enjoy and benefit from the illustrations included in picture books. To achieve this goal, part of a picture book explaining the concept of size for children has been transadapted using various techniques: 3-dimensional (3D) printing, braille, and audio description, resulting in the release of a new interactive audio-tactile prototype of a book for blind children that offers a multisensory experience. While interacting with this book, the blind children get to use their hearing and haptic senses to compensate for the loss of vision. By doing so, they can enjoy reading a picture book and benefit from the visual concepts explained by the perception of content. This study follows an experimental approach due to of the absence of previous experiences in the Arab region where a relatively new and modern technique such as 3D printing in the field of picture books is used. The questions to be answered by the research focus on the steps taken to transadapt a children's picture book into an interactive book for blind children based mainly on modern 3D printing technology, as well as observing the reactions of blind students in the classroom context of Al-Noor Center for the Blind in Qatar on the experience of this new book. The class teacher will experience the story with the students using the touch and hearing senses. The children will learn about the size and color concepts explained in the new book.
