Findings. (1) A significant difference was found in the way the Advanced group used the techniques compared to the other two groups. For all groups: (2) The "Miracle Question" was perceived to have the most therapeutic value and was "Usually used during first session." (3) "Scaling Questions" were the most frequently used technique, perceived to be the most effective, and were identified as the easiest to implement. (4) Client progress was most frequently evaluated using qualitative and quantitative procedures and "Scaling Questions." (5) "Exception Questions" were found to consistently produce the results expected. (6) "Pre-Session Change Questions" were the least used technique, were viewed as the most difficult to implement, and were perceived to be the least effective. (7) The use of the "Miracle Question" was not found to be associated with length of pre-training and post-training experience, and team therapy. (8) Self-reported expertise with the model was about a 7 on a 10 point scale. (9) The Solution-Focused techniques were used about 70% of the time while non-Solution-Focused techniques about 23% of the time. (10) Overall, therapists were 70% satisfied with the model. (11) Many graduates believe that Ericksonian Hypnotherapy, MRI Brief Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral approaches were just as effective as the Solution-Focused Model. (12) Graduates reported treating most frequently: parenting issues, poor school performance, and marital dysfunction.
