This study examined the relationships among perceived barriers to work (Personal and Financial; Emotional and Physical; Career Decision-Making Planning; Job Seeking and Training and Education), career decision-making difficulties (Lack of Readiness; Lack of Information, and Inconsistent Information) and adjustment outcomes (School maladjustment, Social Stress and Interpersonal Relations) of college students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), Specific Learning Disability (SLD) and college students without disabilities. Fifty college students with ASD or SLD (males = 18, females = 32) and 120 college students without disabilities (males = 45, female = 75) completed an online survey. A t-test was used to determine the difference between groups and correlation analysis was performed to examine the relationships among those studied variables within each group. Results indicated a significant difference between the two groups on the career decision-making variable Lack of Information. However, no significant differences were found between the groups on Lack of Readiness, Inconsistent Information, perceived barriers to employment (Personal and Financial; Emotional and Physical; Career Decision-Making Planning; Job Seeking Knowledge; and Training and Education) and, adjustment outcomes (Social Stress, Interpersonal Relations and School Maladjustment). Correlational analysis indicated both groups experience some levels of difficulties in career decision-making, perceived barriers to employment and adjustment outcomes but each group experienced different areas of challenges.
