Thesis (Ph.D.)--The Pennsylvania State University, 1995.
This study was conducted to obtain information from secondary vocational teachers in Taiwan about their opinions towards integrating automation course contents into their current programs and to identify teachers' perceptions of the importance of selected automation course contents and their need for in service training on those contents. The result of the study indicated that the majority of participants in this study (1) agree to move construction automation content down into high school curriculum, (2) regard the selected construction automation course units as important overall, (3) expressed a need for in-service training on those courses. Differences were found in ratings of importance and perceived in-service training needs when examining selected demographic and educational factors. Differences in ratings of importance existed across age groups and levels of teaching experience. Differences also existed regarding in-service training needs across age levels, amount of teaching experience and service area.Subjects--Topical Terms:
