The purposes of this study are to investigate the technology teachers' computer literacy level and the attitudes that technology teachers hold about integrating computer-based technology into vocational instruction in Taiwanese high schools.

Major findings of the study were: (1) It is concluded that technology teachers of Taiwan have a higher computer literacy level than the ETS sample which included 2,600 subjects across the United States. (2) Computer peripherals such as a keyboard, a disk drive, a joystick, a monitor, or a floppy disk are very easily identified by technology teachers of Taiwan. (3) It is concluded that technology teachers of urban schools have more positive attitude toward computer than technology teachers of rural schools. (4) It is concluded that a significantly positive relationship was found with computer literacy level and computer attitude scale and its subscales (computer anxiety, computer confidence, computer liking). (5) It is concluded that urban schools, males, higher computer confidence, higher computer liking, lower computer anxiety, and younger were associated with the higher computer literacy level in Taiwanese technology teachers.
