As school counselors experience role confusion and professional identity issues, websites can be useful tools for sharing information with stakeholders and for self-advocacy. The purpose of this study was to identify information a panel of experts considered important to include on school counselor websites in order to advocate for the profession and enhance professional identity as well as inform and educate stakeholders about the comprehensive school counseling program. A Delphi method was used in which identified experts were asked to list, rank, and then confirm items through a series of three rounds. Twelve experts participated in Round 1, nine in Round 2, and eight in Round 3. Results from each round were used to make a new survey for the next round. Each round eliminated the data that was considered least important which finally revealed the most important information to include on a school counseling website. Constant comparative analysis was then used to code the items from Round 3 in which 75% of the experts agreed should be on a school counselor website. The themes that emerged included professional identity, comprehensive school counseling program, direct and indirect services, academic achievement, career development, personal/social growth, parent information, and additional links.
