Thesis (Ph.D.)--Capella University, 2014.
The current generic qualitative study investigated the experiences of eight K-12 school counselors working with female students and relational aggression. School counselors can be a resource in schools to help students that may have been involved with relational aggression incidents. They can collaborate with administrators, teachers, parents, and students to help decrease bullying incidents and improve school climate. The presence of relational aggression in schools can have a negative impact on students. Relational aggression involves the manipulation of relationships to bring harm to others. Research has shown that relational aggression can be harmful to the victims, aggressors, and the overall climate of the school. This study explored the experiences of school counselors in helping to reduce relational aggression among female students in grades K-12.
