Participation in secondary vocational education had significant positive effects on the number of months employed, hourly wage rates, and yearly earnings. The main effect of postsecondary educational attainment was found only for the participants who obtained advanced (professional or graduate) degrees. The interactions between high school curriculum and postsecondary educational attainment were significant factors in the prediction of labor market outcomes. The main effect of race was not significant. However, the interactions between race and educational attainment were significant factors in the prediction of labor market outcomes. Gender was an important factor in the determination of the labor market outcomes for the NLS-72. Males were associated with more months of employment, higher hourly wage rates, and higher yearly earnings. The number of high school courses taken had no effect on the number of months employed but significantly influenced the hourly wage rates and yearly earnings of subjects. Aptitude, family socioeconomic status, occupation, and industry sector were significant factors in the prediction of labor market outcomes.
