The purpose of the current investigation was to identify the attitudes and MBTI personality type of four groups toward vocational education and compare these differences between gender. The "Image of Vocational Education (IVE) Scale" was selected to assess attitudes of vocational teachers, academic teachers, councilors, and administrators at selected community colleges. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) was used to compare the personality of participants belonging to these four groups. The primary purpose was to extend the body of research employing use of the (IVE) by Wenrich and Crowley (1964), Gilbertson (1995), Pryor (1983), and others. Whereas Wenrich and Crowley conducted their research with the purpose of determining the image of vocational education as viewed by heads of households, employers, school teachers, and school administrators, Gilbertson's efforts targeted parent attitudes toward vocational education and Pryor extended this work to high school administrators, guidance counselors, and teachers. Additionally, a Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) document was used to determine personality traits of the four groups to find out if differences in personality traits affected attitudes toward vocational education.
