This study looked at whether Grade Point Average (GPA) and standardized test scores are significant predictors of success for Occupational Therapy (OT) students. The study looked at a multitude of areas such as Undergraduate GPA, OT GPA, SAT scores, ACT scores, GRE scores, and TOEFL scores. A chart was designed for this study in order to collect the data. The Touro College staff from the Manhattan and Bay Shore campuses were asked to reviewed student records, complete the charts, and return them to the researcher. The data was analyzed using the SPSS software package. There were 234 students in this study from graduating year 2000-2005 from Touro Colleges Manhattan and Bay Shore Campuses. The outcome of this study was that UGPA and standardized test scores are not significant predictors of success. According to the results, the study shows that the students with higher UGPA and SAT are more likely to succeed as evidenced by a strong correlation, however in both instances the results were not statistically significant.
