The purpose of this qualitative case study was to examine the affects of one-point perspective on students' ability to recall geometric concepts. The participants were six fourth graders, three boys and three girls. The data consisted of observations and multiple assessments of students' understanding, and the data were coded, grouped and examined for patterns. The emerging themes led to three main findings: (1) Art may contribute to strengthening students' ability to retain geometric content. (2) Students' application of one-point perspective in their geometry assignment may have contributed to their ability to recall the information. (3) That the boys had a greater ability to recall the information than the girls. The recommendations and implications are discussed in detail.
