Most Newcomers face not understanding the language that surrounds them and also being behind academically. Therefore, the adaptation process tends to be a challenge for them, but also for teachers, who many times are not sufficiently prepared to face a complete class together with a student who does not understand what is being taught. For this reason, this thesis project is aimed at ESL teachers and content teachers, in order to contribute ideas to create a safe environment in their class in order to help newcomers of all ages and conditions reach their achievements in language and objectives of his academic degree.
