The purpose of this qualitative phenomenological study was to explore school administrators' experiences with cyberbullying incidents. The eight participants were secondary administrators in Louisiana public schools. The data were collected through participant interviews, and the transcripts were analyzed for emergent themes. The findings of this qualitative research study were then expressed through a narrative discussion, and peer debriefing and member checks were used to ensure accuracy. Notable findings indicated that cyberbullying is a complex problem for school administrators to handle because the greatest amount of cyberbullying is occurring off-campus. In addition, this study found that Facebook and other social media sites are the most common places for cyberbullying to occur; therefore, students must be taught to understand and use social media responsibly. Findings also illustrated that female students were more likely to participate in cyberbullying, cellphones are used as a source for cyberbully, and there is a disparity between administrators related to the effectiveness of Louisiana cyberbullying laws. The research in this study provides educators with suggestions that could help to prevent cyberbullying on their campus which include examining their cellphone policy and using anti-bullying contracts.
