This phenomenological study shares the story of sixteen camp staff in a Conservative and Orthodox Jewish summer camp. The study asked the following questions: 1. How do camp training, curriculum, and experiences inform women staff's perceptions of egalitarianism and empowerment? 2. To what extent, and in what ways, do Orthodox and Conservative women staff members' beliefs about egalitarianism and/or empowerment overlap or differ? 3. To what extent, and in what ways, do female staff believe the lessons, learned through their experiences as staff, will influence other areas of their lives as women?
