This study described and examined the relationship of employees' perceptions of manager's leadership style on the job satisfaction of employees at fashion retail department stores in Taiwan. This study utilized three questionnaires, the Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ-5X short form), the Job Descriptive Index (JDI) instrument, and a demographic data survey instrument.

The collected data were analyzed via descriptive statistics, two tailed t-test, and one-way ANOVA by the Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS 10.0) for Microsoft Windows. The data showed there is a positive relationship between manager's leadership style and employee job satisfaction in fashion retail department stores in Taiwan.
