The objective of this study was to determine dietary quality of 21 football players who participated in a three-day food recall, questionnaire, and body composition analysis. The results showed that the players were consuming 44.6% of calories from carbohydrates, 17.3% from protein, and 38.1% from fat. Results indicated 50% of the participants responded to eating five or more meals a week from fast food. The results of this research suggest that the players were not meeting the recommended nutrition requirements for athletes, and there is a substantial need for nutrition education for selected athletes.
