This descriptive research study was conducted to evaluate the nutrition education materials provided to the participants in a home meal delivery program in western New York. A telephone survey with systematic sampling from a random start was conducted with 90 participants who were contacted in their home. They were asked questions about the nutrition education materials they received and descriptive statistics were used to analyze the data. The data showed that 75% of participants read the materials, 38% rated the materials as excellent, and 60% rated them as good. Suggestions for future topics included: special diets, vitamins/minerals, and general nutrition information. The research demonstrated that elderly participants were open to learning, 27% reported behavior change after reading the materials.
