This study examined the efficacy of a multiphase music therapy intervention on the acquisition of social and school readiness skills among preschoolers with visual impairment. Participants received direct instruction across three phases which gradually included more peers. Two children completed this participation in this case study with pre/post measures. Six skills were analyzed for the purposes of this study. Results showed that: (1) Participant 1 did not show gains across the three instructional phases. (2) Participant 1 did not show gains from small to large group instruction. (3) Participant 2 showed gains across the three instructional phases. (4) Participant 2 showed gains from small to large group instruction.Subjects--Topical Terms:
