Thesis (Ed.D.)--United States Sports Academy, 2008.
The general problem was to investigate the relationship between the yoga teaching environment and collegiate yoga student learning satisfaction in selected universities in Taiwan. Two hundred and forty seven university students were selected to participate in the study (n=247). The researcher selected all college students who participated in yoga classes from four universities: National Taiwan College of Physical Education, Central Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Asia University, and ChienKuo Technology University. The result of gender and the Flow State had significant results (p < 0.05). Through MANOVA, the researcher discovered that student gender had significant differences across subjects shown on four multivariate significance tests (Pillai's Trace, Wilks' Lambda, Hotelling's Trace, Roy's Largest Root) with all resulting in an F value of 3.517 and a p value of 0.004 at the 5% level of confidence. Through Pearson's product moment correlation, the results showed a positive correlation with statistically significant results among these three factors: instructor's teaching methods, student's satisfaction with yoga class, and yoga teaching styles (p < 0.05).
