The interaction of Kindermusik with creativity has received little attention in the scientific community. This study was an attempt to begin filling that gap in the literature by comparing the creative responses of Kindermusik students with the responses of children who had not taken Kindermusik. The two groups each had 16 children who were 3 to 6 years old. Each child took Torrance's test, Thinking Creatively in Action and Movement. Kindermusik students had significantly higher scores than control students on the measure of originality and on the test as a whole. Parental involvement surfaced as an important asset to the children. Children in the Kindermusik group did have higher scores on the creativity measure; however, generalizing these results was tenuous since there have been few studies in this area. More research is warranted to assess the efficacy of Kindermusik in helping children develop their creativity skills.
