<italic>THE IMPACT OF THE WOMEN'S ARMY CORPS ON THE EUROPEAN THEATER DURING WORLD WAR II</italic> studies the effects of integrating women into the United States Army in an overseas theater. It is an examination of the challenges and successes experienced not only by the women themselves but the Army as a whole while the women made the transition from auxiliaries into full-fledged soldiers.

This study concentrates on the ETO until D-Day on June 6, 1944; the ETO until that time consisted of the British Isles. Historical and contemporary Army studies and letters home have been used as the basis of this study.
