Some multicultural programs are reducing or eliminating classics such as the works of Shakespeare. This dissertation has made the case that multiculturalists are shortchanging students because of the universality of Shakespeare's works. After researching this topic and discussing the evidence found in Shakespeare's themes, characters, and poetry, this researcher takes the stand that William Shakespeare's plays and sonnets are relevant and significant for today.Subjects--Topical Terms:
