The survey results were divided into three categories, which are “Comparing school to school”, “Multimedia instruction to traditional classroom teaching” and “Students to teachers”. The first section has four hypotheses. They were all supported by the survey results. The second category, Multimedia instruction or traditional classroom teaching includes four hypotheses. None of the four hypotheses were supported by the survey results. The third category, students to teachers, also has four hypotheses. All those hypotheses were supported by the survey results.

This study of comparing multimedia instruction and traditional classroom teaching led to the overall conclusion that teachers and students at the Jinwen Institute of Technology and the Taipei university had more positive perceptions toward multimedia instruction than traditional classroom teaching. They were mostly uncertain about overall effectiveness of traditional classroom teaching. However, they all preferred that a teaching approach combined with multimedia instruction and traditional classroom teaching was the best.
