Thesis (Th.M.)--Fuller Theological Seminary, School of World Mission, 1997.
The purpose of this study is to understand accurately the reality of the House Church movement in China for my future ministry, and to give information to people who want to know about these churches. The problem addressed in the thesis is, "What are the historical and missiological factors and processes of the formation and development of the House Churches in China." The writer examines the following: the House Churches as a part of the Kingdom of God (Chapter 2), as traces of Christianity in China (Chapter 3), Protestant mission movement in China (Chapter 4), background of the House Churches in China (Chapter 5), suffering and revival (Chapter 6), a description of the House Churches in China (Chapter 7), and in conclusion, the writer suggests lessons to be learned from China's Christians, problems to be solved, and the responsibility of Christians outside China. Analyses are primarily based on literature and my own ministry experience in China.
