The Kamioka Liquid scintillator Anti-Neutrino Detector (KamLAND) was designed to detect electron anti-neutrinos from commercial nuclear reactors, nureactors, and the Earth, nu geos, via inverse beta-decay. The analysis presented in this thesis measures the mass-squared difference, Dm221 , and the mixing angle, theta12, involved in neutrino oscillation, using nureactors while simultaneously measuring the nugeo flux. Dm221 and theta12 are two of the fundamental constants of nature, whose values are not currently predicted by the Standard Model of particle physics. The study of the Earth's interior by measuring the nugeo flux is a new avenue in geophysics, opened by KamLAND. This analysis significantly increases the sensitivity to neutrino oscillation parameters compared to previous KamLAND results. The improvement is achieved by an almost three-fold increase of statistics, the lowering of the analysis energy range as far as allowed by the inverse beta-decay threshold, a better overall control of systematics, and the simultaneous analysis of nureactors and nugeos.

The null hypothesis of an undistorted nu reactor energy spectrum expected in the absence of neutrino oscillation is definitively rejected at the 99.98% confidence level. Instead, the measured energy distribution is consistent with the expectation from two-flavor neutrino oscillation with sin2 2theta12 = 0.935+0.061-0.065 and Dm221 = 7.44+0.19-0.18 x 10-5eV2. This Dm221 figure is a three-fold improvement on the previous KamLAND result. The so-called "LMA0" and "LMA2" regions, previously disfavored over the "LMA1" region at the 97.5% and 98.0% confidence levels, respectively, are now disfavored at the 99.95% and 99.9991% confidence levels. Assuming CPT-invariance, the sin2 2theta12 estimate is further improved by combining this measurement with the results from other experiments that measure the flux of neutrinos from the sun, yielding sin2 2theta 12 = 0.901+0.028-0.032 and Dm221 = 7.46+0.19-0.18 x 10-5 eV2.

The effective nugeo detection rate, defined as the rate of interactions with protons in the detector in the absence of detection inefficiency and neutrino oscillation, is measured to be 122+36-35 (1032 proton · year)-1. The detection of nugeos is confirmed for the first time at the 99.995% confidence level.
