This study was concerned with the activity of date night for married individuals. Participants were 382 married individuals with at least one child living at home who responded to an on-line survey containing the Locke-Wallace Martial Adjustment Test and questions about activities of intentional connection, including questions about frequency of dates. The mean marital satisfaction of two groups of married individuals, those who go on dates with their spouses every other week or more, and those who go on dates less than every other week, were computed. An independent samples t-test was conducted and found to be significant at an alpha=0.05 level. For this sample, the mean marital satisfaction score for the group of individuals who go on dates with their spouses at least every other week was higher than the group who did not date as frequently.
