The disorder carries significant morbidity and the consequences when it is not treated can be severe. The diagnosis is frequently missed in girls. This paper examined current research regarding the presentation of girls with ADHD. An evidence based practice guideline was created to assist the practitioner in making the diagnosis of ADHD in girls.
