The practicum involved a two-part process. The Organizing Task Force initially discussed targets and strategies at the monthly meetings held at the BCTD headquarter. The next part of the practicum involved implementing the strategies that were established at these meetings. The strategy or plan would usually consist of several organizing techniques that included; picketing, negotiating, on site agreements, project labor agreements, bottom up and top down organizing, grass roots organizing, salting, and mobilization of members. The practicum helped to reveal the strengths and weakness of these strategies, as well as the faults that still exist in the BCTD structure.
