Nature Experience in Subject Teaching -- Educational Theoretical Foundation of Nature Experience Pedagogy -- Comprehensive Overview.
Experiencing nature has positive effects on mental development, health, and well-being, and can be interpreted as an element of a "good life." This book relates this connection to learning and educational settings. Educational processes are defined not only by the acquisition of relevant content but also about the encounter, confrontation, and transformation of the subject. The central assumptions of this book are, firstly, that the latter can be facilitated through nature experiences, and secondly, that this can also positively influence (subject-specific) learning processes. The Editors Dr. Ulrich Gebhard is a Senior Professor at the Faculty of Educational Science at Bielefeld University. Dr. Armin Lude is a Professor for Biology and Biology Education at Ludwigsburg University of Education. Dr. Andrea Möller is a Professor for Biology Education at the University of Vienna and heads the Austrian Educational Competence Center for Biology. Dr. Alexandra Moormann is a Researcher and Head of the Education Department at the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin. The translation was done with the help of artificial intelligence. A subsequent human revision was done primarily in terms of content. This book is a translation of an original German edition.
