The volume reevaluates the common notions of a good childhood, which have been influenced in various ways by the Covid-19 pandemic. The perspectives of children and adolescents on the pandemic have rarely been the subject of discussion. Thematically, this volume focuses on questions of well-being, inequality, and the familialization of learning. The aim is to explicitly direct attention to the practical living conditions of children and families and to strengthen their viewpoint. The Editors Dr. Jürgen Budde is a professor of educational science at the Institute for Educational Science at Europa University Flensburg. Dr. Drorit Lengyel is a professor of educational science at the Faculty of Educational Science at the University of Hamburg. Caroline Böning is a research associate at the Institute for German as a Second and Foreign Language at the University of Duisburg-Essen. Carolina Claus is research associates at the Institute for Educational Science at Humboldt University Berlin Nora Weuster is a teacher in Kiel at a vocational school specialising in social pedagogy Katharina Doden is a teacher in Hamburg, specializing in physical education and technology/working studies at the primary and lower secondary levels. Dr. Tobias Schroedler is a professor at the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Duisburg-Essen. The translation was done with the help of artificial intelligence. A subsequent human revision was done primarily in terms of content. This book is a translation of an original German edition. The translation was done with the help of artificial intelligence (machine translation by the service DeepL.com). A subsequent human revision was done primarily in terms of content, so that the book will read stylistically differently from a conventional translation.
