The purpose of this dissertation was to develop and validate an instrument to measure leadership self-efficacy among Master of Divinity students at New Orleans Baptist Theological seminary. Three constructs of leadership self-efficacy were measured: direction setting, building relationships, and overcoming obstacles. The instrument was developed through a Delphi study and expert panel. A pilot study was conducted to identify errors in instruction, procedure, or measurement. One-hundred twenty-six students completed the pilot study. Internal consistency for the instrument produced a Cronbach's alpha of .85. Exploratory factor analysis provided evidence of validity. The findings of the study and suggestions for future research are discussed.{A0}
