The purpose of this study was to examine if there was a relationship between the follower's perception of the leader's Full Range Model of Leadership styles: Transformational Leadership, Transactional Leadership, and Passive Avoidant Leadership and the follower's Attitudes Toward Technology: Positive Attitudes, Anxiety About Being Without Technology and Dependence on Technology, Negative Attitudes Toward Technology, and Preference for Task Switching when controlling for age, gender, and education level. A sample of convenience was used, with a total of 613 responses collected, resulting in 398 completed and usable surveys. Participants were asked to complete three instruments, including a demographic survey, the rater form of the Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire - 5X (MLQ-5X Short; Bass & Avolio, 2004), and the Attitudes Toward Technology: Positive Attitudes, Anxiety and Dependence, Negative Attitudes, and Task Switching Preference as measured by the attitudes scale from the Media and Technology Usage and Attitudes Scale (MTUAS; Rosen et al., 2013).These findings provide valuable insights into the interconnections of age, leadership approaches, and attitudes toward technology. A leader's awareness of factors such as age, gender, and educational differences may impact follower's attitudes toward technology. Furthermore, leadership styles, generational differences, and educational attainment may influence the perception of technology. Leaders who proactively acknowledge and address these differences may effectively enhance communication and collaboration among employees within an organization.
