Numerous African countries are facing challenges in their socio-economic development due to ineffective leadership. Implementing appropriate leadership styles may help to improve living standards and prevent development delays. To understand the specificities and role of the Transformational Leadership Model (TLM) in the financial decision-making process of the current leaders of the Republic of Benin, a qualitative exploratory single case study was conducted based on the transformational leadership theory. The study involved nine experienced financial leaders and managers who have implemented the TLM in the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Benin for at least 5 years from 2017. The data were collected through interviews and questionnaires using purposive sampling techniques and analyzed using the Framework Approach based on both deductive and inductive processes. The results revealed that the TLM implemented by the financial leaders of the Republic of Benin is community-oriented, with a focus on personalized attention, employee motivation, and incentives. The study recommends that the scope of the research should be expanded to include other sectors in the Republic of Benin or other African countries to increase the validity of the results. With access to a good working leadership model, managers, and leaders in various sectors of the Republic of Benin or similar African countries can improve their leadership skills and practices. By incorporating the TLM and its specificities into their decision-making process, leaders can bring about positive social changes in their communities.

520 $a De nombreux pays africains sont confrontes a des defis dans leur developpement socio-economique en raison de l'inefficacite de leur leadership. L'implementation d'un modele de leadership approprie peut aider a ameliorer le niveau de vie et a prevenir les retards de developpement de ces pays. Pour comprendre les specificites et le role du Modele de Leadership Transformationnel (MLT) dans le processus de prise de decision financiere des dirigeants actuels de la Republique du Benin, une etude qualitative exploratoire de cas unique a ete menee sur la base de la theorie du leadership transformationnel. L'etude a implique neuf leaders financiers experimentes qui ont mis en oeuvre le MLT au ministere de l'Economie et des Finances de la Republique du Benin pendant au moins 5 ans a partir de 2017. Les donnees ont ete recueillies au moyen d'entrevues et de questionnaires a l'aide de techniques d'echantillonnage teleologique et analysees a l'aide de l'approche-cadre fondee sur les processus deductifs et inductifs. Les resultats ont revele que le MLT mis en oeuvre par les leaders financiers de la Republique du Benin est axe sur le service a la communaute, avec un accent particulier sur l'attention personnalisee, la motivation des employes et les incitations. L'etude recommande une extension de l'unite d'etude pour inclure d'autres secteurs en Republique du Benin ou dans d'autres pays africains afin d'accroitre la validite des resultats. En ayant acces a un bon modele de leadership fonctionnel et operationnel, les leaders et dirigeants de divers secteurs de la Republique du Benin ou de pays africains similaires peuvent ameliorer leurs competences et leurs pratiques de leadership. En integrant le MLT et ses specificites dans leur processus decisionnel, les leaders peuvent apporter des changements sociaux positifs dans leurs communautes.
