The project director chose to develop a next generation ministry plan for First Baptist Church, Flora, Mississippi (FBC Flora). Through the project director's examination, he determined the current ministry structure of FBC Flora consisted of a silo ministry approach of the preschool, children's, youth, and college ministries. The project director would use a next generation ministry plan to provide a common goal and bring cohesion to the four ministries. Also, the project director would use a next generation ministry strategy to provide structure for church leadership in partnering with parents, leaders, and students. The project involved three phases. During phase one, the research phase, the project director studied biblical texts related to next generation ministry. The project director then reviewed ministry foundations consisting of historical and contemporary models, literary views, and next generation ministry dissertations to acquire insights and strategies for the design phase. During phase two of the project, the project director initiated the strategy design process. The project director enlisted an expert panel and a strategy team to assist him in the process. The expert panel reviewed the project director's research of next generation ministry, his strategy for project implementation, and provided suggestions for improvement. The strategy team held three sessions, assisting the project director in identifying goals, milestones, and transitions. The project director used the informationgained from the strategy team and his research to develop a next generation ministry plan. The strategy team reviewed the plan, made additional suggestions, and discussed an implantation process. The final phase of the project included the project director's implementation of the plan. The project director presented the plan to select church ministry teams and Sunday school leaders. Upon the approval of the ministry teams and Sunday school leaders, the project director proceeded with limited implementation. The full implementation of the next generation ministry plan existed outside the bounds of the initial process. The project director observed early support concerning the implementation of the next generation ministry plan.
