This research has shown how an understanding of culture by Korean pastors' understanding of culture has formed missional churches, and how Korean missional church leaders have carried out tripartite dialogue through their ministry. Rather than focusing on what kind of misisonal ministries they do and how they have done, this research has focused on why they have done them. Without knowledge of the missional church as understood in the West, they have shaped and led missional churches in their Korean context. In the cases of three senior pastors who were I interviewed, encountering cross-cultural experiences and conciliar theological education have influenced to shape their missional pastoral philosophy and church ministries. Based on an understanding of missio Dei and God's kingdom, they have interacted with socio-historical situations of Korea and labored to make church members missionaries, living out the gospel of the kingdom in their daily lives. Although trying to build lay leadership, their leadership style is nevertheless hierarchical and rarely accepts feedback from other church members. While preaching is a primary channel of communicating missional values, a discipleship training program was secondary. Through shaping a missionary-like local church and Christians, they have perused how bring God's transformation in the world. They also have studied their local community with an incarnational perspective and built cooperative relationships with local governments for the purpose of missions. Based on the research, five major findings are presented. First of all, the process of Korean missional leaders' becoming a missional leader is consistent with what Western missional scholars have advocated. Second, Korean missional leaders actively engage with the world and pay attention to their cultural settings. Third, Korean missional leaders' cross-cultural experiences positively influence the shaping of their missional pastoral philosophy and church ministries. Fourth, Korean missional leaders' missional leadership style needs adjust according to their situations. And finally, Korean missional leaders' leadership style needs to adjust according to the socio-cultural changes. These six propositions are consistent with what Western missional scholars have advocated.
