In the United States emphasis is placed on youthfulness, neglecting, overlooking, and discounting what could be one of the richest aspects of an individual's life, middle adulthood. The intention of this study was to uncover and explore those aspects from the perspective of 10 female co-researchers.Organic inquiry was the qualitative research methodology chosen. It evokes psychospiritual transformation made evident through greater awareness and deeper connections with self and Spirit (Clements, 2004). The research design included a creative exploration process consisting of two one-on-one interviews and two creative exploration exercises. Data was gathered from the transcribed interviews and the outcomes of the creative exploration exercises. Thematic content analysis was implemented, which is a comprehensive means of identifying, grouping, and filtering lists of the common themes presented.Qualified candidates were born in the United States between 1946 and 1964. They were able to communicate proficiently in English verbally and in writing. Each qualified candidate expressed interest in exploring midlife life transition(s) and experience(s) and their meanings and were willing to participate in all aspects of the study.Recruitment was solicited through social media networks and online communities. The co-researchers experienced positive outcomes and offered insights or shifts in perspective. They experienced realizations and clarity and found answers to questions explicitly or implicitly posed. Upon data analysis, the co-researchers demonstrated behaviors and traits of psychospiritual wellbeing, which were likely supported, strengthened, or enhanced through their participation.Based upon the themes identified, the creative exploration process seemed to support, strengthen, or enhance existing psychospiritual wellbeing behaviors. The type of inquiry impacted the breadth and depth of the outcome. Possessing the 4 elements of the creative spirit may be a gateway to gaining insights and shifts in perspective. Additionally, the life transition(s) and experience(s) presented appeared to serve as catalysts for transformation. The breadth and depth of the outcomes were in proportion to the intention set by the co-researcher. The outcomes appeared related to the co-researchers' ways of being, which correlated with their life transition(s) and experience(s).
