he central purpose of this quantitative research was to explore if Organizational Commitment (OC) moderated the effect of Transformational Leadership (TL) on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) of part-time and full employees in the United States. Building on current literature, this research investigated if OC could serve as a moderator, influencing the impact of transformational leadership on employees' OCB. The conceptual framework for this study incorporated Bass and Avolio's transformational leadership theory, 2004, Organ's OCB theory, 1997, and Mowday's OC theory, 1979. This study used three previously validated measures (Survey of Transformational Leadership, OCB Questionnaire, and the Shortened Organizational Commitment Questionnaire [SOCQ]) to evaluate if there was a relationship between the variables. Data from 385 participants were collected and examined using Minitab statistical software program. Findings revealed that transformational leadership did not have an effect on the OCB of the participants. However, OC did moderate the impact of transformational leadership on OCB. This research supplies a basis for future studies and initiatives towards OC and leadership. Overall, based on the study, there appears to be a greater emphasis on loyalty to the organization based on commitment versus the impact of transformational leaders.
