The purpose of this quantitative study is to explore the cultural values profile (CVP) as a useful assessment tool capable of assessing the tendency to engage in workplace bullying behavior (WBB). This descriptive, correlational based study explores the association between behaviors of cultural value dimensions (CVDs) and the dark triad personality disorders (DTPDs); Psychopathy, Narcissism, and Machiavellianism (MACH). The theoretic framework for this research evolved from Attribution Theory and Trait Theory. The possibility of predicting WBB from a CVP assessment occurs when the CVDs related with the DTPDs (independent variables) impose the risk level of engagement in WBB (dependent variable). Pearson correlation coefficient (r) shows the association between the CVDs associated with DTPDs, and a multiple regression analysis was used to predict behavior. The study participants are employees from a Christian University with two and four-year degree programs, in the State of Michigan. The research participants completed the CVP assessment along with the short dark triad (SD3) personality survey. The survey was sent to 214 individuals; two opted out, one bounced back, 81 responded (five partially completed, 76 completed, 63 completed the CVP assessment). The descriptive correlation analysis revealed an association between Narcissism and WBB is weak but positive, MACH and WBB yielded a weak but positive, and Psychopathy and WBB was moderately negative. The multiple regression analysis reflected that DTPDs with the most significant effect on WBB was Psychopathy. The present study failed to reject the null hypothesis. The study showed 14 of the 63 individuals who participated in the study, answered yes to the question on the survey asking if he/she had be accused of being a workplace bully, their risk levels varied. Conducting this study on a larger scale, preferable surveying individuals of Christian Colleges and Universities across the United States would yield results that are more significant from a larger sample.
