This qualitative research assesses the Big Five domains of personality and leadership effectiveness of casino executives. Utilizing the public domain, International Personality Item Pool-NEO (IPIP-NEO) assessment, the domains of extraversion, agreeableness and conscientiousness demonstrated a positive relationship with leadership effectiveness. Further analysis was conducted through the use of a leadership development questionnaire. The questionnaire assessed the following topics: demographics, position history, training and development, success factors, personality, leadership skills, strengths and weaknesses, differentiation, career goals and knowledge, skills and abilities. The implication of this study suggests recommended material for the creation of an executive development program.
