Women's rights are deliberately forgotten in Muslim countries, and oftentimes women claim their rights; they face men's resistance in the name of religion. Muslim men create some laws made by men to accommodate men's misogyny and give them more power to control women in an abusive manner. In this thesis, I seek to demonstrate that many of the laws and moral injunctions that are imposed upon Muslim women derive not from an accurate interpretation of the Quran and Hadith but from the misogynistic tendencies held by the Muslim men who enjoin them. It seems to be an obsession with or fear of women because Muslim men concentrate their thinking and effort on how to oppress women. The best way to reach their goal is to make women believe it is not the will of men but the will of God. Believing that they are obeying God, women are actually obeying men. Male and female experts explain this man's obsession in their work, In Lundy Bancroft's Why Does He Do That? And in Susan Forwards's Men Who Hate Women and The Women Who Love Them. In Muslim nations, religion is almost innate, and faith is so strong that even dictators use religion to indoctrinate their people and justify their lifetime terms. The world saw Saddam praying before the cameras and heard Kaddafi calling himself the Muslims' Imam. It is no surprise that using God to raise girls as submissive and servile women is common. When a Muslim woman marries, she is ready to obey and please others. The goal of this thesis is to argue that this is not the will of God, that God does not agree with favoring the boy and using his sister as his servant, and that God does not agree with abusing the wife and mistreating women with proof from the Quran and Hadith. Tradition, misogyny, lack of education and knowledge of the scripture, and the Sira are guilty of women abuse, not God and religion. Many male and female scholars defended women's rights and proved that the source of women's oppression comes from tradition, not religion. The best sources are, of course, the Quran and the Hadith. Still, I do quote many scholars who wrote about this subject.
