Basketbol gibi takim sporlarinda, takimin genel degeri, oyuncularin performanslarini basitce degerlendirip, toplayarak elde edilemez. Oyuncularin oyun tarzlarini belirlemek ve dogru oyunculari bir araya getirmek, kazanmak icin cok onemlidir. Bu calismada, basketbol oyuncularini, geleneksel olarak tanimlanan bes pozisyon [Oyun Kurucu (PG), Sutor Gard (SG), Kisa Forvet (SF), Uzun Forvet (PF) ve Pivot (C)] icerisinde oyun stillerine gore benzer kumelerde gruplandirmak amaclandi. Bu sekilde takimlar, daha iyi bir takim olusturmak icin oyuncu tarzlarini belirleyip, ne tarz oyunculari takima katmalari gerektigi konusunda destek alabilecekler. Ulusal Basketbol Birligi'nin (NBA) 15 sezonuna ait 17 oyunla ilgili istatistik, hiyerarsik kumeleme yontemi kullanilarak analiz edildi. Optimum grup sayisini belirlemek icin ise kume gecerlilik indeksleri (CVis) kullanildi. Bu analiz sonucunda, PG, SG ve SF pozisyonlari icin dort kume belirlenirken, PF pozisyonu icin bes kume ve C pozisyonu icin alti kume olusturuldu. Takim yonetimlerinin, kumelerin galibiyetlere etkisini verimli bir sekilde analiz edebilmeleri icin Tableau arayuzu kullanilarak karar destek sistemi tasarlandi. Bu sistemde bireysel kumelerin, kume ikililerinin ve uclulerin basariya etkileri sunuldu. Bu analizler icin uc performans gostergesi, uyarlanmis arti-eksi (APM), ortalama puan farki (APD) ve kumelerin kazanan takimlarda yer alma yuzdesi kullanildi.

520 $a in team sports such as basketball, the team's overall value cannot be obtained by simply evaluating and summing the player's performances. Determining the players' playing styles and bringing the right players together is essential for winning. This study aimed to group basketball players into similar clusters according to their playing styles for each of the traditionally defined five positions (Point Guard (PG), Shooting Guard (SG), Small Forward (SF), Power Forward (PF), and Center (C)). This way, teams would be able to identify their type of players to help them determine what type of players they should recruit to build a better team. The 17 game-related statistics from 15 seasons of the National Basketball Association (NBA) were analyzed using a hierarchical clustering method. The cluster validity indices (CVis) were used to determine the optimum number of groups. Based on this analysis, four clusters were identified for PG, SG, and SF positions, while five clusters for PF position and six clusters for C position were established. The achievements of individual clusters, clusters duos, and trios were analyzed based on point differential with this system. The decision support system that includes these analyses has been designed and presented on the Tableau Dashboard for team management. Three performance indicators, adjusted plus-minus (APM), average points differential (APD), and the percentage of clusters on winning teams, were used for these analyses.
