This art-based heuristic self-study explores how the combination of photography and digital art-making were utilized to cope with trauma and displacement experienced throughout both a global pandemic as well as a transition from shaky art therapist in training to confident and bold clinician who embraces her own self-love, faith, and femininity. The relationships between art-making, trauma, instability, displacement, and cognitive reconstruction are all discussed within this study, as the researcher dives into an examination of the artwork created at the climax of her hero's journey.
