The purpose of this quantitative correlational-predictive study was to determine if and to what extent age, tenure, and perceived supervisor support predict job satisfaction among registered dietitians in the United States. The range of affect theory and the organizational support theory were used to address this problem: It is not known if and to what extent age, tenure, and perceived supervisor support predict job satisfaction among registered dietitians. (n = 116) in the United States. A multiple linear regression was calculated to predict job satisfaction based on age, tenure, and perceived supervisor support. A significant regression equation was found to describe this relationship (F (6,109) = 13.372, p < .001), with an R2 of .424 and an R2Adjusted of .392. When looked at individually, only perceived supervisor support was a significant predictor of job satisfaction. This study builds on prior literature and knowledge of the relationship between age, tenure, and perceived supervisor support and job satisfaction among healthcare professionals. This finding contributes to the literature as well as builds practical applications for those who employ, manage, or supervisor registered dietitians.
