Society is becoming increasingly more concerned about environmental issues and efficient usage of natural resources. However, as companies struggle to prosper in an ever-changing and challenging business environment, the investments required to adapt their processes to a cleaner and more circular mentality might bring risks that many managers are not willing to take.To address this challenge, many studies have been conducted recently to aid in the implementation of Circular Economy (CE) actions in companies. However, most of those studies are conducted in a product-oriented fashion, focusing on the application of circular business models in industries and supply chains, despite the current "servitization" tendency present in the business world. With that, there is still a gap regarding the assessment of CE actions on service-oriented business models. To address this gap, this research developed the novel ServiceDfX (S-DfX) conceptual framework. The S-DfX framework is an adaptable method to assess the performance of services, in multiple dimensions. In this research, the steps to implement the framework were presented and the framework was tested, in a case study, for the evaluation of the circularity and sustainability dimensions of a service.During the study, it was developed an innovative approach to assess the circularity performance of a system, by using the "Rs" of the 10R framework as macro-indicators and unfolding each "R" into consumption indicators. For the sustainability assessment, the dimension was decomposed into sub-dimensions, based on the three LCSA pillars. The assessment results were presented in individual tables and scorecards for better visualization, with alternative scenarios being proposed and assessed for the circularity dimension.
