Social media learning platforms (SMLP) offer nursing contents that notably transform undergraduate nursing students' learning experiences. Beyond classroom instructions, undergraduate nursing students constantly seek up-to-date knowledge to stay current on their subject matters. In that context, SMLP provides nursing content undergraduate nursing students use to further their cognitive and affective skills. The purpose of the study was to understand the influence of SMLP on nursing students' learning attributes and preferences. The study searched answers to one central research question: How do undergraduate nursing students describe the use of social media learning platforms as part of their learning strategies? Twelve undergraduate nursing students with active use of SMLP were invited to participate in this study to describe their experiences in how SMLP-led learning shapes their learning strategies and academic outcomes. As a primary data collection method, the researcher incorporated the Zoom video platform to conduct virtual semi-structured face-to-face interviews to invoke the meanings and roles of SMLP on undergraduate nursing students' learning. The data analysis revealed five key themes that explained the perceived meaning of social media, preferred social media learning platform, specific learning activity, achieving better grades, and advantages. The study findings suggest that student engagements on SMLP benefit student learning outcomes by expanding their understanding of nursing concepts, procedures, skills, and test preparations. Participants' learning strategies in this study provide the groundwork for future nurse educators to initiate policy discussions on integrating SMLP in nursing curricula.
