The main contribution of this study is to check the uncertainty of whether the housing projects in Saudi Arabia requirement includes the needs of the customer. Worth mentioning Quality Function Deployment (QFD) is one of best methodology applicable in a housing project or real-estate in developing features and layouts per the needs of customers and market, and that this is included in the project requirement scope. Starting from the general QFD matrix the research moved in three level of approach;1) a series of interviews with Saudi stake holders, architects and real estaters from different Saudi regions and generations with the scope of improving the criteria of the general matrix into a more specific one, tailored on the Saudi market;2) the delivery of a questionnaire based on the above customized matrix to different samples of Saudi people, respectively residing inside or out a compound. As compound was selected the King Saud University Campus to make sure all the interviewed people is sharing the same condition and living experience;3) also the results of the questionnaires have been finally also included to develop a final Saudi-tailored QFD matrix, and used to elaborate the most suitable proposal in housing for the Saudi society. Purpose of the research is to offer to the Saudi market and institutions a scientific approach to the housing system, which is one of the mainstream for the growing nation toward the 2030 post-oil society. Also the research will answer to the call of the UN-Goals for sustainable development in empowering the human perspective in the cities.
