The human capital theory guided this research study to examine the predictive relationship between knowledge sharing and innovation skills among immigrant students during business-related internships. This quantitative, nonexperimental, and correlational study analyzed a sample of 109 business immigrant graduates in Canada. This study utilized the Knowledge Sharing Behavior Scale to measure knowledge sharing and the Innovation Behavior Inventory to measure innovation skills. In this research study, there are four predictors: the four dimensions of knowledge sharing, including organizational communications, personal interactions, communities of practice, and written contributions. The one outcome variable is innovation skills. The hierarchical regression model was significant, indicating that knowledge sharing predicts innovation skills. The findings also revealed a statistically significant relationship between organizational communications and innovation skills. In contrast, this study found that personal interactions, communities of practice, and written contributions are not related to innovation skills. Moreover, these findings added empirical research to the human capital theory. Finally, the results of this research have practical implications for business graduates' readiness for the 21st century workforce, facilitate their assimilation process in Canada, overcome their employment challenges, and enhance their future well-being.
